The
central mission of the MA in Political
Science program is to provide students
with the essential background and skills
necessary to pursue a variety of occupations
and interests, including politics, government,
and law.
The M.A. in Political Science degree program comprises a sequence of courses
designed to prepare students for a variety of occupations, including journalism,
public service, non-profit sector positions, teaching careers, and preparation
for advanced graduate study in law and/or doctoral work in Political Science.
The program is designed to develop students' analytical skills and to deepen
their substantive knowledge in political science by selecting major and minor
concentrations from courses offered in American Politics, Comparative Politics,
International Relations, Political Theory, and Public
Administration.
